Overview of Student Welfare Committee

At any educational institution, students occupy a pivotal position all activities revolve around them. The overall institutional ambience must reflect planned efforts for the welfare of the students and the activities must not be just confined to just achievements of desired academic standards but also incorporate sincere efforts directed towards overall welfare of the students. The student Welfare Committee is responsible for the general and specific well being of students. It shall be the function of the committee to consider and recommend policies pertaining to the coordination and regulation of student organizations, social events, and other related activities, academic conduct of students, advisory and counseling program, orientation, new student program, student development program, and student publication. It is the responsibility of the committee to maintain and improve an atmosphere conducive to the pursuit of academic goals.

Selection Criteria for Student Representatives in Student Welfare Committee:

  • Only one student from each prof will be preferred.
  • The student should be meritorious and enthusiastic.
  • The student should be punctual and voluntarily willing to devote time for the welfare of the college.
  • He/ She should be active, presentable with zeal to work for the upliftment of college.
  • He/ should be compatible and should be chosen by the majority in class.
  • He/ she should have good repute in the class.
  • A total of 10 student representatives will be chosen five from Ayurveda and five from Unani.

Aim and Objective:

  • Soft Skills Programme.
  • A belief in the value of education and the power of ideas.
  • An understanding that the academic community gains when individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds learn and work together in a pluralistic community.
  • A commitment to practical as well as theoretical knowledge.
  • A commitment to support the intellectual, spiritual and physical well-being of all members of the community.
  • A commitment to developing, maintaining and nurturing partnerships in the community.
  • A recognition of the importance of service and the belief that an individual can make a significant difference.

Students will be provided with opportunities beyond the classroom to:

  • Lead others
  • Communicate
  • Develop positive relationships
  • Recognize and value cultural differences
  • Care and support other people
  • Serve the community

  • Separate corner on website with useful information.
  • Official work with the student.
  • Problems with library.
  • CME/Guest lecture series.
  • Student and teacher relationship built up.
  • Help to provide more facilities to the students.
  • To start scholarship for meritorious students.
  • Adaptation of the weaker student (in academic).
  • Organise counseling program me.
